Reader Vs Reader – Where’d You Go, Bernadette?

I read “Where’d You Go, Bernadette?” by Maria Semple a few years ago and I really liked it! I think I ended up reading the entire book in one day. However, turning it into a sketch was a bit tricky for me. If you’ve read the book, then you know that there’s a lot of elements to it, for example, it’s an epistolary novel (told through letters/documents). I wish I could have incorporated that aspect of the book into the sketch, but it didn’t work in my mind. So, I based the sketch on the basic ideas of the book,  a woman who is tired of her life/where she lives and just runs away. In my version there’s references to the city I live, Austin, instead of Seattle, where the book takes place, but you get the general idea. Overall, the sketch turned out pretty much how I envisioned it!
