2016 Reading Resolutions

By Sunday, January 3, 2016 0 Permalink

2016 has arrived my friends!! Which means it’s time to set some new year’s resolutions. You can take a look at my goals for 2015, here. I’m happy to report that I was successful for 4/5! Not bad, but I believe that I can push myslef harder this year, and accomplish much more (hulk flex).

So, for 2016 I would like to….

  • Read 100 books! For the last two years I’ve completed the Goodreads Reading Challenge. Each year I’ve pushed my reading goal higher and higher. Well, 2016 is the year of triple digits! I feel pretty confident about hitting this goal, since I finished 2015 with 90 books read. What’s another 10? Famous last words I know.
  • Create more episodes of Reader Vs Reader. In case you didn’t know, Reader Vs Reader is a web series that me and my husband created. It’s a book based sketch series. One week I’m the “reader” in the eps. and the following week my husband is the “reader”. I’m really proud of the progress that we’ve made filming and editing the videos over the last year. For 2016 I would like to double our number of videos and subscribers.
  • Read more diversely. I really want to branch out this year and read books that I don’t typically pick up. Classics, are on the top of my list, maybe take on a behemoth like “Ulysses” or “War and Peace”. I enjoy reading plays, and want to add more of them to my TBR. I would also like to read books by authors from other countries. Gonna step up my reading game this year!

And that’s it! Going to keep the resolutions to a minimum this year. I don’t want to overburden myslef by setting too many goals. What are your 2016 reading resolutions? Let me know in the comments below.
